Weight Loss Injections Masterclass

Recorded in June 2024

Nowadays you're less likely to hear a doctor recommend that you “eat less and exercise more”, and more likely to hear, “diets don’t work, but drugs do”. And that’s all thanks to the good people at Novo Nordisk (Ozempic/Wegovy) and Eli Lilly (Mounjaro).

They're telling everyone that being Fat isn’t our fault (true). That it’s not OK to stigmatise Fat people (also true). And that Fat is a complex, multifactorial, chronic disease and that weight loss is “difficult but necessary” (not true at all)

They want you to be believe that you would be healthier if you were thinner. That you would be more active and able to move better if you were thinner. They claim that your heart would be in better shape if you were thinner and that you can avoid getting diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol by losing weight.

But is any of that true?

In this masterclass, I present the evidence in a completely non-judgemental, intersectional and trauma informed way. We talk facts, figures, and how to handle the pressure and unsolicited advice from your healthcare professionals and your well-meaning friends/loved ones.

Conversations about weight loss injections often catch us off guard, and that can lead to a lot of unnecessary stress when consulting with a doctor. To the point that we often actively avoid them.

I am going to arm you with the confidence and the knowledge to either participate in or opt out of these conversations with as little drama as possible.
